Smile
Hi, all. Here is another fun card that I made for a friend for her birthday. It is a Penny Black stamp that I stamped on paper then scanned into my computer so that I could enlarge the image. I then printed it out on cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I had decided to add the smile phrase to the bottom of the card. My daughter said it would be cute if I could find a film strip. She was right and I found a film strip clip art piece and then added the letters in the blocks. It turned out to be a very cute card and I love how it turned out. Hope you like it too.

A Mouse's work is never done
Hi all. Sending a new card posting, I made these for Mother's Day for my friends and family. It is a House Mouse stamp colored with Copic markers. I had a lot of fun working on these cards and hope my recipients enjoyed them. I loved the Mommy mouse repairing the toy mouse for her little mouse. It reminded me of all the things we moms do for our children and seemed a perfect picture for a Mother's Day card. I have been working on some other fun cards that I will share with you soon. I still love making and creating cards. This helps me forget so much of the chaos going on in our beautiful country. Hope you are having fun and I will return soon with some new cards.

OUR GREAT COUNTRY
State Capitol Building of New Hampshire
What a beautiful State Capitol Building in a beautiful state. We truly live in a great country. My hope is that it stays a great country. It seems as though things are unraveling in our nations capitol. Why are our congressmen and women not standing up for the American people? The average American is getting the short end of the stick in health care and tax relief. The congress (at least the Republicans) are giving all the breaks in taxes and health care to the very rich. That is not helping or supporting the people that voted them in office. Why do they think they can constantly get away with this kind of action. Americans are getting fed up with this kind of behavior. Americans want a fair deal! The government better wake up to this or they will have big problems on their hands. The shoting at the baseball field maybe only the beginning of more trouble to come even though I hope not. I see many people getting angry over no help for lower taxes, more job creation with a decent wage attached, health care they can afford, and a building up of failing America. We are turning into a third world country and nothing is being done about it. Wake up government. We didn't put you there to make you rich! Get on the ball and help your constituents. We are asking you nicely for now. May we all be strong and help one another.

Goodbye My Dear Friend
Hi friends,
I finally have the ability to make this post without crying. My favorite horse Billy from the horse rescue where I volunteer had to be put down on June 7th. I will miss him with all my heart. He was a great pal and such a wonderful horse. He is the horse in the other picture on my site. I learned a lot about horses taking care of Billy. He was so patient as I stumbled along. I thank you Billy and I hope you are now with your heavenly herd and free of pain. See you in the great beyond.

My New Adventure
I can't believe it has been almost a year since I last connected here. I am still doing cards and loving that, but I have recently started a new adventure this spring. I am volunteering at a horse rescue. It is called the Horse Protection League. I am having so much fun and learning a lot. I have always loved horses but always lived in city situations. I have not had the chance to be around horses as much as I would have liked. This is just perfect for me. I get to work with the horses and feel that I am making a difference as well. The League ranch currently has 28 horses in it's care. It is amazing the wonderful work that they do to help horses that have been abused or abandoned. They take such good care of the horses and work to get them back to a healthy state for adoption. How lucky I am to now be a part of this great process. I think I have found my passion. I am pictured here with Billy one of the great horses here.
I am still working on my greeting cards and loving that as well. I love the creative process and finding new ways to create fun and interesting cards to share with others. I will be sharing some of my new designs here soon.
I will keep you posted on all the excitement that is going on these days. Thank you for checking out my blog and I will continue to share with you my many new surprises.

Think Spring
It has been a while since I've posted anything on my blog. Here is a little card with a birdie in his rain boots with his umbrella in spring showers. How cute is that! It has been a while since I have put together some new cards and I am eager to get back to making some fun cards again.
Spring is here and the trees and plants are sprouting. It is really greening up and looking so pretty.
The little bird is from Cricut's Birds on Parade. The white background circle was cut from the designs on my Cricut Imagine machine. I really like how this card turned out. Hope you like it too. Until next time - have a lovely spring.

GO-TO GALZ Challenge #2
Hi everyone,
Here we have my entry for the card #2 challenge. I made a cute little hamburger and popped him up on pop dots. Also on the card are stickers that look like packets of mustard and ketchup which are also popped up. The hamburger came from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. The punch that I used as a border is a EK Success punch. The inside sentiment is "Hope you have a whopper of a birthday". Thought this card was very cute. and could be used for any age birthday. Hope you like it too. Until the next challenge - keep creating.

Seeing Red Card Challenge
Here is my entry for the Seeing Red Card Challenge. I used a Magnolia stamp and colored her with Copic markers. The border is made with a Martha Stewart punch. I stamped the image, and then scanned it into my computer where I could then re size it. I like the larger size stamped images as they are much easier for me to color and they then become the focal point of my card. The background paper is from a stack I got a long time ago, so I don't know what it is. The inside sentiment is "Hope you are having a cool day." Well I hope you are having a cool day too and that you like my card. Until the next challenge - bye for now.

Christmas in July Challenge
Here is my card for the Christmas in July Challenge. I used the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. The sack of toys, the present, and the Santa tag all came from a package of Christmas embellishments. The paper was from a DCWV stack. I love how this little card turned out, however I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Teddy Bear Parade cut outs. They are all so very cute. I have enjoyed using them in other cards that I have made. I really enjoy making Christmas cards and have made a different card for each of my recipients for the past two years. I am eager to get started on my cards for this year and this will get me started. I hope you like my Santa Teddy too.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge-Summer Time
Hi All,
Here is my entry for the Summer Time challenge. The little girl is a Magnolia stamp that I colored with copic markers. What I did was to stamp the image and then scan the image into my computer. I then re sized it larger and printed it out. I colored the larger stamped image which is a lot easier to do. I used a Martha Stewart flower punch for the bottom border. I popped the image up on pop dots. The inside sentiment is have a really cool summer. I hope you like this little entry as much as I liked making it. Until next time - have a great day.

CTV Challenge # 30
Here is my entry for the CTV design team challenge # 30. My Father's Day card is white cardstock. The bottom portion that represents his slacks is a denim looking paper. I cut a tie shape out of striped paper and added a gemstone for the tie tack. The belt is ribbon and the belt buckle is a pop top piece from a soda can. I used stick on letters for the DAD. I hope you like my little card. I really enjoy entering these challenges and the design team always comes up with great ideas for the challenge.
Until next time have fun making cards.

Yummy Ice Cream
With the weather getting warmer and summer soon upon us, I thought this little card would be just the thing to get us in the mood for ice cream. I happen to think any time of year is good for ice cream. I used a Matilda stamp on white card stock and then scaned it into my computer and resized it larger. I used my copic markers to color the stamp. I am getting better at using the copics and I like how they look for coloring stamps. I used a flower punch to add a border to the card. I really like the looks of this card and for the inside sentiment I used "Wishing you a happy birthday". I like making the stamps larger as I think you can see more detail. I hope you like this little card. Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day. Blog you again soon.

Luck of the Irish
Hi all,
Here is my latest card for the Cardz TV challenge # 25. I have both the shamrock and the leprechaun on this card. The leprechaun is from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. The background paper is from Paper Studio. As you can see my little leprechaun has gold coins from his pot of gold. The inside sentiment is Luck of the Irish from the spring card cartridge by Cricut. I really like how he turned out. You can't get much more Irish than this, but then I am a Kathleen so I guess I should know Irish. I hope you enjoy him. Look for more cute cards soon.
Love, Kathy
