Cricut Card Challenge # 96

Hi Fellow Card Makers,
Here is my entry for the card challenge #96. I love the little Santa (my s) and his faithful companion Rudolph. I really like how this card turned out and it maybe my favorite one of all the Christmas cards I've made this year. I have completed all the cards for family and friends and each one is different. What a fun project that was. I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope everyone will enjoy the cards this year and know that they were made special for them.
Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of good food and family. Look forward to getting the house ready for Christmas another of my favorite projects. Take care and I will post again soon. Hugs to you.   Kathy

I also have many wonderful Christmas cards that I made for the upcoming holiday season. I am getting ready for the holidays and have some awesome gifts this year in my creative lot. Leaves keep fallin on my head

Hi All,
Here is my entry to the Paper Cutz Challenge # 115. The little bird is from 3 Birds on Parade. The background paper is from the fall pack from DCWV. The inside sentiment is Have a Fabulous Fall! I really like all the colors that pop out on this card as it really looks like fall. The challenge said lots of colors for the leaves, except no green or blue. I hope that it is OK for the little bird to be blue - kind of like a blue bird of happiness. Well here is offering. I hope you like it. Hugs to you.

Silhouettes on the card - not the shade

Hi all,
I thought I would put in a different kind of card to break up all the holiday cards. This is a nice little friendship card made with the Heritage cartridge. I think this card has an elegant look to it suited for a special lady. It was fun putting this one together. It is nice to see something different once and a while. I have been working on lots of Christmas cards and tags as well as some really wonderful gifts. I will post some of these items soon. Have been keeping very busy with all the fun craft items and ideas I have. I have also been doing some stamping as well. I am really liking how that is turning out. So untill next time - have a fun filled day.

Puppy Card

Hi
Here is a cute little puppy dog card. I made this card some time ago, so I hope I can remember what I used. The dog came from the Cricut cartridge Four Legged Friends. The scallop background is from Elegant Edges. The patterened paper is from DCWV Pet stack and the punch is a Martha Stewart called stars. The little dog bones are some brads that I got some time ago. The inside sentiment is a friendship poem. I like the way this came out. It is a great card for a friend who has a furry friend. I hope you like it too. Until next time - have a hugable day.

Halloween Fun

Hello My Prettys,
Here is another of my Halloween cards. The inside has the sentiment "Bags fly free". I thought that was quite clever. I had fun making this card and the paper just seemed to fit this Cricut cut out. The witch is from Cricut's Happy Hauntings. The paper is from DCWV Ghosts and Goblins stack. The card was sent to my cousin who's husband works for an airline. I thought she would get a kick out of it. I have been back to making cards and it feels good to be back. I will have some more fun entries for you. I will keep at it. Hope you have a spooky and fun Halloween. Hugs to you all, Kathy

Someone New

What's better than a new card? A new puppy!!!  Here is a picture of my new grandpuppy. Her name is Smuckers - just like the jelly. She is a real sweetheart! She is a yellow lab and is 11 weeks old. She is getting along very well with her older brothers Pontius and Stoli. She likes to play and keeps up with the boys pretty well. I will be getting back to card making very soon and will have a new post for you. Thanks and see you soon.

Paper Cutz Challenge 104

Hi Everyone,
Here is my latest entry into the Paper Cutz Challenge. I had the best time making this card. I have wanted to make a card using the saddle shoes for the longest time. The cuts on this card came from the Nifty Fiftys cartridge. It has lots of fun images to choose from and most of the color choices fit perfectly with this challenge. The background paper is from the Colorbok stack that I think is called Brights. This stack has many cute and colorful papers in it. I like how the four colors for this challenge came out. I am happy with the results of this card and I hope you like it too. Until next time.  Hugs to you.

Cricut Card Challenge Thank you card

Hello Everyone,

Here is my entry for the Cricut Card Challenge. I used the Give A Hoot cartridge. I wanted to do something very different for this thank you card. I choose a color for the sentiment that matched the color on the background paper which is a DCWV paper. I like how it turned out. It is a little plain, but I could not see adding any more to this without spoiling the effect. I hope you like it. I had a great time coming up with the idea and creating it. Truly love hearing from all of you and joining in on these challenges. Look forward to what my come next. Until next time.

Paper Cutz Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I have my entry for this Paper Cutz Challenge. I used the Simply Charmed and Elegant Edges cartridges for this one. I like the blackboard background as it looks like school. I used more than three colors, but the challenge did not say only three colors. I like how the card turned out. I printed the sentiment out on my computer and it took a bit of doing, but it goes with the three color theme. I hope you like this one. I enjoy your comments. I still plan to get some of my other cards on my blog soon. I am however having fun with the challenges. See you next time.

Tutti-Fruitti Card Challenge

Today I have this cute little cherry card that I made. I used the Preserves cartridge for this card for the cherries and the circle in the background. I also used an  EK  punch for the border. The cherry paper came from the DCWV stack called All About Girls (really). I like how this card turned out. Cherries happened to be my favorite fruit, so of course I like this card. I hope you like it. I had a great time putting it together for this challenge. Inside the sentiment is "A cheery cherry hello". I have some other cards that I created and will be posting them very soon. Thanks for taking a look see. See you soon!

Getting ready for Christmas in July

I have been working on my Christmas cards and have a good start on them. My goal was to make two cards each week and then I should have enough when it is time to send them out. So far I have met that goal and exceeded it. I never hurts to have a little cushion. I really am having a ball putting these cards together. I have some more for viewing. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoy creating them.

My attempt to post one of my cards

I am going to try to post one of my cards that I made. I have been working on some cards for the holidays. I know it is still summer, but if I make a couple Christmas cards a week by the time I need to send them I will have enough. Christmas cards help to keep me cool in this summer heat.  I have many ideas for cards for the holidays so I know I will enjoy this project. Well here goes to try and post a picture. It looks like I may have succeeded. I hope you enjoy seeing my work. It sure is fun creating these cards. Until next time - have a wonderful life (from the movie of the same name) how Christmasy is that!

Cards, cards and more cards

Today I had friends over for a card making party. It was great fun for all and oh the cute cards that were made. I love hosting this event and I know my friends enjoy the time we spend together crafting. My hope is that I can get people sending cards and correspondence to friends and family again. I think with the availability of email this sometimes is becoming a lost art. I know I enjoy receiving this kind of mail and I think most people do. I will do my best to get people excited about reaching out and sending tangible cards and notes again. I will plan to get some of my cards uploaded and begin to post them here on my Blog so you can see what I am making theses days. See you soon

I just returned from a two week tour of the midwest. Went to Indiana for a wedding and that was fun to see everyone. Also toured Ohio with sister-in-law and her husband. Saw some interesting places there (Longaberger Baskets and Malabar Farms. Had lots of good food on our trip. Also toured Michigan. Went to Bronners the World's Largest Christmas Store in Frankenmuth. Had a wonderful chicken dinner at Zendhers in Frankenmuth. It was a whirl wind two weeks and of course it is good to be home.

Making Cards is my passion

I have been working on my greeting cards and finished several this week. Some got sent to friends and family and others are in the finished card box. This box contains cards that are finished and have not yet found a home. I plan to use some as gifts and I know some will be sent out in my name. I just love it when I come up with a clever idea. I made a Rockies baseball birthday card for my friend MJ and also one for her husband. Such cool cards and perfect for these season ticket holders. I have been sending a lot of cards to my friend J. She is having a major life challenge right now and I want her to know I am thinking of her. I hope to  make a resergence of sending cards and notes to those we care about. It is becoming a lost art and that is a shame. I will pursue this goal and see if I can get things rolling again.
